"No idea, shelter for the night i guess would be their first concern as well.", Ishtar replied.

One of the travellers spots you and waves his hand furiously.
"They look like fighters." he said to the old man beside him. "They could protect us."
"Think they're lost?" asked the old man.
"Probably. Look at the state of their clothes."
He took a few steps foward and beckoned the two travellers to come closer.

Dannin nods his consent, falling in-step beside his companion. "Maybe we can get them to send a bigger man to drag this beast along, too, "he said as they had left their intended meal behind. "Should be enough to go 'round. "
He paused a moment as they walked, then smirked with a thought. "Hey," he stated merrily, "perhaps they're in search of guards for their journey and they'll hire us." He shrugged and smirked playfully at his equally lost new friend. "I'd wager they at least know where it is they're going."

Ishtar smiled, "I like the way you think! Most other people i hang out with go around with grim attitudes, i mean come on we are heroes, so what if we're killed nearly every day, live life happily!"

He paused in step at Ishtar's words, arcing a brow and mouthing silently to himself: Heroes?
After a moment, he smiled and nodded. He liked the sound of that. He took a few running steps until he caught back up to the other man and smiled, nodding happily. "Aye," he said, "heroes."
As they reached the caravan and the man waving, he waved back. "Hail, and well met," he greeted the man, "What seems to be the worry?"

"Hello, my good friends!" the man says, warmly and with open arms. "Lost eh? Not a problem! Our supplies are plenty enough."
He places a hand on Dannin's shoulder and smiles.
"We are willing to pay for some protection." he stated, abruptly, in a business-like tone. He eyes Isthar's threatening weaponry. He had seen soldiers before, but never one so heavily armed with daggers, scimitars and staffs.
"I assume that you are trained in combat?" he asked "There are a lot of heathen tribes in these parts. They may try to attack us. It is absolutely imperative that we reach Foirin safely or else the villages may have to endure another month of starvation."

Ishtar smiled, "Yes, we are trained to fight. I use my agility and melee skills, whereas my friend Dannin here has a truly accurate and lethal aim."
"I am willing to accompany you..."

((OOC: sorry, guys, my comp died on me a couple days ago... a complete 100% loss. Just now thought to look up Rythanis on Google, so now I'm back in action on my wife's comp.))
He nodded with a friendly smirk to the man in reply to Ishtar's comment. Well," he said with a moddest shrug, " I wouldn't say all that, but I'm pretty handy with a bow. I'd be honored to help ye and ye'r own out, friend."

A glint of satisfaction flashes through the man's eyes.
"Excellent. We will be moving in a few minutes." said the traveller. "And I would like you to follow me, er-Sirs."
He leads Ishtar and Dannin, to the back of the caravan and pulls out a heavy chest laden with weapons. Most of them seemed to be second grade stuff.
"Ah, here we are."
Carefully, he pulled out three arrows with unusually shaped tips. He held them as if they were made of glass.
"Explosive arrows. A little something we bought from the archery range at Shandon. Handle them carefully"
He handed the arrows over to Dannin, smiling.
"And you, Sir? Is there anything you'd like? If not, I'll give you a horse and we'll be on our way."

Dannin took the arrows, eyeing them curiously as a child would a new doll. With his skill at boyer and fletcher, he wondered if he could find out how to duplicate these. Only three for now, though, so he'd have to use them sparingly. Turning his attention to the caravan leader, he nodded his thanks, then spoke it.
"Thank you, sir," he told the man, "I'll use them with the greatest of care." He then turned with the man to await Ishtar's response.

Ishtar answered,"I couldn't ride a horse if my life depended upon it, and anymore weapons to my body would not let me walk without slouching",he said this pointing to the various weapons," let alone run, so i really don't think they will be required, but thanks for the offer, lets go!"
