Ishtar walks into jungle, having to bend down, under the branches that stooped low, searching for any sign of an animal. *(upto the gm now to decide what we have to do next)

A bulky Osirin water buffalo stands alone here. It seems to be oblvious of your presence. Its bluish hide is tough and it possesses large, curved horns. It is a formidable opponent. Even for a hungy pride of Lions. Spotting the huge beast, Dannin eases his bowstring and arcs a brow, leaning toward his new companion and speaking softly.
"You know," he said, then paused before continuing. "That's alot of meat, there. More'n what we'll be needing. What say we find somethin' else, hm?"

"Yeah, i second that. Let's keep searching." Avoiding the beast ishtar stalks passt the buffalo, making no noise that could anger the animal.

((Yeah, sorry, I'm back now.))
The two encounter a herd of antelopes as they trudge through the grass. They are physically weak but fleet-footed.

Pausing in his tracks, Dannin held up a hand to forestall any further movement from his companion, too. Gesturing to his eyes, he then slowly pointed outward toward the grazing creatures. Carefully, he drew and arrow from his quiver and knocked it to the bow. He raised the bow, drawing fletching to cheek and sighted along the arrow's length.
For many long moments, Dannin held his aim, allowing his vision to phase out everything but himself, the creature, and the arrow that seemed to stretch out, spanning the distance, and touching the creature, as if it were at point-blank range. Then, and only then, did he release the bowstring, and let the arrow fly.

Ishtar watched dannin work his magic, in all his years of training and learning the martial arts, Ishtar had managed to master a few skills such as patience and agility. He quietly waited for dannin to strike as he prepared his spear, he would not throw it as his aim was bad, but if need be he was ready to chase the antelope, using his ability to speed.
Ishtar now stood quietly waiting for the arrow to hit or fall....

The springfooted antelope is struck by the arrow in it's back. However, its leg muscles remain uninjured. It breaks into a mad run. The arrow, like a fuse, set off a stampede.
The deer-like animal bounds away from the hunters. The arrow does not seem to impair its speed. The pride of lions also joins the fray, taking advantage of all the chaos.

Ishtar powers up his speed of the anubis and sprints after the horned creature. He streamlines his body by holding his spear close to his body and at the same angle his body was.
He leaps over the knotty roots of the ancient trees, ducks under branches and whenever he can, jabs the antelope with the sharp end of his spear.

Dannin winces as the creature bounds away, the elation he should have felt at hitting the creature gone with the knowledge that he hadn't felled it.
Quickly, he too took to his heightened speed, though it didn't seem quite as fast as Ishtar's. Putting on a burst, he caught up just briefly to his companion and gave him a sharp nod of understanding, that they'd both know their place in the hunt. He then veered off, dropping back to his normal max speed. Even after that short distance, he was amazed that the other man could keep up that pace. He was faster than most people on their feet, but this Ishtar fellow, he was a true marvel in the area of groundspeed.
But Dannin had the cunning of a simple farmer raised with the idea of improvisation. Turning, he bolted for a tree, slinging his bow across his back, and leaped with the momentum of his speed. Quickly, he clambered up the tree until he had a good vantage point, and came to rest, balanced on a sturdy limb. He swiftly unslung his bow and readied an arrow, raising the weapon to take aim at the back of the beast's head. Again he let the arrow visually stretch out, this time aiming directly at the head, right between the antlers.
Dannin took a deep breath and held it. It was only a few seconds, but in his mind time stretched out into several more seconds, several minutes, and hour. The tip of the arrow seemed to reach out again, seemed to tap the creature on the back of the head where he was aiming.
Finally, Dannin released the arrow and his breath at the same time, watching the arrow fly.

Ishtar's spear pierces into the antelope's leg, bringing it to a standstill. At the very same moment, a arrow zips straight through it's head.
It waddled about in agony for a little while before dropping to the ground, dead. -----------------------------------------------
The Caravan stopped near the lake. They were moving south towards Foirin. It was a long journey ahead, and the travellers wanted to stock up on their supplies.
Hopefully, they wouldn't be beseiged by hordes of angry tribals...

Ishtar picked up the beast by one leg, then returned with Dannin to the shelter. He laid down the creature, and then set to work on lighting the fire to the dry heap of wood.

Grabbing the other leg, Dannin nodded to his companion and helped him drag the beast. Once there, he examined his arrow and gave a sigh. This one was useless, having bent and nearly broken in the creature's fall. As he helped strip the beast, he dug the arrowhead out of it's skull and held it up to examine it.
"Well," he sighed again, tucking it into a belt pouch, "least that's re-usable." After a while, he paused, turning to look towards the caravan by the water. He stood, holding a hand over his eyes to block the sun, and watched them for a while, speaking to his so far un-named companion.
"What do you think they're up to?", he asked as he watched, nodding with his chin toward the group.
