"Yes , you butt him with your scythe , when he comes to , he is gonna jolly well be running around spreading our message about peaceful exploration. What manner of fool knocks a guard out on an investigation mission? He gets up the first things hes gonna do is call for reinforcements . By next morning armor and steel will be crawling up our asses. " Kravis argues.
"We have two options , we kill him and hope no one comes looking for him , or just leave him here and hope the dukes too dumb and he doesn't contact Shandon of his plight. The revolt has taken too much out of our fair city already." Kravis sighs.
"We have absolutely no way of understanding the choices we have. Either way our government will decline our existance in their area and there will be a huge task force trying to cut us down." Kravis reminds his colleagues.
"We'll go north as soon as this unconscious body is taken care of , until then i leave the decision in your hands." Kravis snaps.

Marr picks up the body of the fisherman and throws it into the lake. And then without a glance at Kravis, he starts walking northwards. He stops, turns, looks at the 'chemist' and asks, " You coming?" before continuing on the bushy path ahead of him.
*Talk about iritating. Kravis spends too much time thinking about the possible outcomes of our actions and not enough on what we are to do next. He is unfocussed.*
Seeing an apple on a nearby tree, Marr plucks it and starts chewing as he walks.

The three travelled far into the rocky folds of the Northern Mountain ridge. The soil here was grainy and black. Stony elevations stood ominously over the wandering party; the rockfaces were deeply cut by dry erosions and long branching cracks.
Upon the hillocks stood red flags that billowed and flapped in the wind. Each had a white trident emblazoned on it.
The flare grew bigger and brighter as they approached. And thick, black clouds - like a single, great, smoky pillar - stood upon a strange plinth of burning wood. It served as a guiding light to lost vagabonds. The misty shillouettes of armed watchers could occassionally be seen in the distance, strafing the lifeless edges of the old valley. They had telescopes and crossbows, and had spotted the team striding in from afar.
A husky voice suddenly echoed through the hallowed (and the thus far overwhelmingly noiseless) mountain-pass.
"What be your business here!"
You locate the source of this thunderous vociferation: A lonely outcropping directly in front of you, where a heavily armoured man brandishes a broadsword. Clearly, you also are under the hawkish vision of several unseen crossbowmen. Tread carefully..

Always preparing for the worst conditions, Marr starts making up a plan; just in case things get messy.
*I could put off the fire with a wave of my hand. That would give Kravis enough time to create a portal to get us back to the fishermans hut.*
This makeshift plan in his mind, Marr felt a bit more confident as he approached the broadsword weilder.
*Lets get straight to the point, no need for sweet talk.*
Marr (still hooded), walks up towards the man and stops exactly 6 inches away from him. He can smell some kind of alcohol from the mans clothes. He looks at the mans stance.
*It is as I guessed. This man is not completely human. His soul has been stained, but not too much. His soul has merely 'started' the transformation. Probably the murder of innocent people has caused it.*
Marr then starts speaking, "Me and my friends here (nudges at the other two) are on a mission and we seek to find a lost comrade, a knight." At that point, Marr noticed that one of the crossbow men had shuddered a bit.
*Maybe its my voice. Or maybe he has a few skeletons in his closet*
He continues, "We would be grateful if you could provide us with any kind of information".
He waits, expecting an answer.

"Nodik!" he boomed, slowly sheathing his broadsword. You see the runic engravings and silver edge disappear beneath the ornate leather covering. The man was heavily built and clad in chain-mail. His face was pale as winter.
The crossbows were still trained on the trio. The flames crackled and consumed the firewood a short distance away. He frowned:
"He stopped by here a few weeks ago.. never returned. Now leave. We have more pressing matters to attend to!" He raised his stubbly finger, pointing at a lightless mountain further North. "The flames died there, in the yonder outpost, just seven hours ago. Something is amiss and I have dispatched heralds. But they have not returned as yet.. "
His voice trailed off, but it was quite evident that the outpost had just been assaulted. The signal-fires were never permitted to be extinguished. And an enemy attack was the only plausible reason for its putting out. No wonder the outpost guards were so well-stocked and wary.

Dezhur mumbled something while he had been walking. Caught mid sentence when they were accosted, Dezhurs mind went to his cross bow.
Of course the motion would be futile with so many already trained on him. Luckily his vial was ready at his fingertips. He could prolly lick some of it of his fingers while they were not looking.
Luckily the guard gave him a way out, without having to waste his precious elixir. Draining his own blood was ever so tiring. Points for whoever in the party managed to extinguish those lights.

Suddenly, a low bellow was heard. The sound of titanic footsteps and heaving breaths rang through the valley. The gravelstones rattled and the rockfaces trembled. Even the sure-footed captain stumbed when the shocks came. Great cetacean wails and moans emanated from beyond the turn. Fast approaching, with mighty strides, was something of mythic proportions. An acrid stench washed over the small army, as the pounding tread grew ever louder. For the moment, the soldiers seemed to have altogether forgotten that the three were present. The Captain barked orders, and the troops scuttled towards their battle stations. The crossbows had been cranked already, and the swords drawn. Kravis estimated that there were aleast 30 men here at the battlefront. The pounding footfalls continued, increasing in intensity with every fresh stride. A giant green figure loomed into view. It's outline was blurred by the white light of the afternoon sun. It lumbered clumsily among the rocks, gradually drawing closer until they could see it in all it's twisted glory. It was a faceless hellion composed entirely of moss. It stood taller than six men put together. The beast had legs as thick as tree trunks, fists massive enough to batten elephants, and a green featureless (no eyes, no external ears, no nose) face with a singular orfice that functioned as a (toothless) mouth. He was virtually blind, and relied mostly on his hearing and smell to manouvere through the narrow basin. He was covered in a viscous slime, and every ponderous step he took left behind a 7 inch foot imprint that was filled to the brim with black water; A little puddle of evil. He roared angrily at the ranks of men who sought to defend the outpost. In the hands of each giant, was a fungus-covered club, fashioned from the heavy stem of an oak. He was a titan derived from the morass, slathered in sludge, born in the depths of the bog. A repulsive odor wafted in the air. "A moss-giant!" exclaims one of the soldiers, inching back slowly. More appear onto the scene. You are able to count 3. After a brief stand-off, the giants rumble, bawl, roar and charge (well, a slow charge) towards the army, clubs upraised. OOC: Hope you guys can decipher this map:

Eyes popping wide, Dezhur reflexively calls the incantaion out for his Friendly Fire spell. He calls down the spell on the first giant in the middle of the attack and high tails it to the tower behind.
Taking a flying leap over the fences, Dezhur runs up the stair case to the top of the tower.
Once there he nods to the four men and takes out his cross bow, loads and takes careful aim... and fires at the leading moss giants ears.

[green]Moss Giant #1 - With a cry of anguish, he brings his club down on the enemy ranks, crushing several soldiers. A flurry of Crossbow bolts cuts through the mist and strikes his torso. He is stunned momentarily.. A verdant gunk oozes from his fresh wounds, but soon enough he returns to thrash at the defenders, seemingly impervious to the pain.

Moss Giant #2 - Lumbering towards the tower.

Moss Giant #3 - Bellows in pain as a lone crossbow strikes his ear-hole. He cups his fingers around his invisible auditory apperture and staggers about the passage, trampling several unsuspecting swordsmen in the process.

Marr, never one to spare a chance to fight, smiles at the moss giants from underneath his hood.
*Ah, this is going to be fun. But, if I had a chance to choose which stupid but powerful breed of monsters i would like to fight, I would have chosen Kravis.*
The soldiers in the barracks, while running to help, saw a black bird with white wings take flight from the area under attack. However, the soldiers in the watch tower, on closer inspection, saw that this was no bird, but the cloaked hooded humanoid that had accompanied the archer standing in their midst.
The soldiers closest to the flying figure, apart from knowing that it was undoubtedly Marr, heard a gleeful, yet spiteful, rasp emerging from its direction, "Call the other two. The rest of you stay behind us."
Unable to think of anything else to do, one of the soldiers, with panic written in bold all over his face, raced to call Kravis and Dezhur. He also panted to his commander, "sir...........the flying man.......he told........us........to back off."

(( You want a fight to the death in game , bring it on man , I can pwn your ass , my character is any day more powerfull than yours :PPPP ))
"Stay away from them !" Kravis commands.
"Dez! Can you concoct something that will drowse their sense of smell or their listening abilities?" Kravis yells as he traverses through a portal to the watch tower. With a sudden motion and a snap of his fingers , he summons lightning , the glow is seen before the crackling is heard .Like the great lord of Gods , Zeus , Kravis throws a streak of lighting bolts at the leading giant.
* Their is something about them , that doesn't seem right. We've mapped Lake Osirin , its a peaceful area. Nothing happens here. So why? How? What brings them out here. Obviously not conquest. Nor food , the lake and its surroundings are enough to feed them.*
"Call the other two. The rest of you stay behind us." Kravis hears Marr growl more then speak. His emmense energy glows as he gets ready to strike down his enemy. He strikes fear not only into his foes but also his ally.
*He is right , we will be able to observe them better if we are up close. Maybe we can use their hides for something. I will make a point to ask Dez about this once we have captured them.*
With a wave of his hand a portal opens and its twin (Way out) opens on the ground just below where Marr was flying.
"After you . rest of you - points at the crossbowmen- stay here , we don't need any more deaths today"
*Range does not give me a chance to study these beasts* , Kravis ponders as he enters the abyss of the portal to the ground below and he re appears.
Kravis looked up as his friends stood around him , facing an unnecessary evil ready to strike down anything that may live. The time to question the evil was over. It was now time to fight.
"I want one of them alive" Kravis yells as he runs towards the leading giant with his battle swords drawn. Lightning still spewing out of his hands due to the pressure of the moment.. A portal opens.

The soldiers reluctantly retreat as Marr and Kravis had instructed (more out of fear than any conformity to the trio's orders), much to the dismay of the Captain, who continued to goad them onwards with his constant squalling and threatening.
Moss Giant #1 - Is struck by the bolts of light spewing from Kravis' fingertips. As the raw electric fury surges through his mossy fibres, his body convulses and shakes, until eventually the current dies and he drops (with a resonating 'thud') down on the stony ground. However, his morass-built anatomy quickly repairs itself and his senses are swiftly re-established. Slowly, the monster raises himself to his feet and with a mighty sweeping motion, hurls aside any approaching footsoldiers. He roars and continues to march towards the tower.
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Moss Giant #2 - Begins smashing the stone base of the tower with his oaken club. With every blow, the spire tembles and several supporting beams and metallic collumns are shattered. The tower will not hold much longer. The constant hail of crossbow-bolts from the tower's crest hardly seems to serve as much of a deterrent to this inexorable pounding.
llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Moss Giant #3 - The men let loose a ballista-missile on the hulking monstrosilty. The massive projectile penetrates the giant's slimy hide, travelling deep into his bowels. The creature bawls and reels backward.
The giant, missile still clinging to his heaving chest, throws his great fist down on Kravis and misses the magician narrowly. His hand crashes into the earth, and the rocks rattle wildly.

"I CAN'T BLOODY WELL MAKE POTIONS WHEN THERE ARE GIANTS ALL UP IN MY FACE!!" Dezhur yells loudly at Kravis.
Muttering to himself about stressful situations, Dezhur gets onyl a moment to stare at the hulking brute now trying to topple his tower. Dezhur needed to take him down quickly. Dezhur runs down the stairs, and he takes a flying leap to the bottom before the tower comes completely off the ground. Landing on his front, Dez is bruised sore. But now wasn't the time for that.
Heaving himself he runs to the barracks. The ominous roar of the second moss giant rends the air. A body flies and lands with a sickly thud and crack on the wall.
Dezhur has one chance. He runs to the body and surreptitiously chekcs the man's pulse.
<Still there... but weak.>
With a flash of his wrist he kills the man with the blunt end of the ceremonial dagger. Anyone looking closely would have a hard time telling what Dezhur was upto crouched over the mans body, but the likely guess would be ressuscitation. In truth he was draining his soul... A gasp from Dezhur and the pulse faded. Near the man's eyelids flecks of blue crystals solidified.
Cupping the powder in his hands Dezhur runs into the barracks. Men pouring out barely stop to notice him. Ducking into a doorway Dezhur compresses the volatile powder into a thin reedy crystal.
<Is that all I get... crap this shot better count>
Running up to t he ballista, he begs the nearest captain for the chance to arm the next missile with the crystal.
"You have to let me ... uhh bless this weapon... ith the power of the gods can we ...uhh vanquish this foe!" says DEzhur hastily trying to concoct something the engineer would buy.
(( If the guards agree Dezhur will mount the weapon and return to trying to shoot the giants ears down. Thought he will try try to reach Kravis. If the gaurds disagree or dont have time to let me, Dezhur will shout for Kravis from the barrack tops to drop the crystal into the giants mouth))
