Aten laid his hands softly on the table.
"I have been eavesdropping in the King's discussion room long enough to know what his plans are. I am sure that the man will NOT comply to any of the terms you've set down after this war. I think Xan has put down everything we have to offer the count. Also, Xan and Kravis risked their lives to save an entire city ruled by Count Alfons. Has the King done anything of that sort for the Count?"

- 'You are, of-course, aware that you would have to make the same pledge to all the Barons, Counts and Dukes of this land.' This came as not a question, but a statement. - 'Further, we of the nobility would like confirmation of all our previously gained priveledges, the taxes, rights in court, landowning etc. In addition we'd like something to represent us specificly in this new government, a senate so to speak were only those of good birth and of the clergy sit.' - 'Additionaly there's the matter of the King. Whenwe abolish the King ,' - Alsdair wanted to say "I'f" but that would have been pesemistic, - 'It would be offensive for him to be trailed by commoners, let the nobility deal with that matter. Additonaly it would be unjust to deny his descendests the throne that their family has held for so long, hence his son is to maintain rights to the throne, furthermore we would like future kings to have some way of influencing the countries politics,' - this of-course meant "legal" ways, - 'Think of it as a way to ensure that this country does not become a tyranny of the masses.' Alsdair coughed and finished with a, - 'Well than? What do you say to this?'

Lord Xan smiles and replies : " Yes. You and your nobles will be allowed all your previously gained privileges. As i had already mentioned earlier you will have nobles that will represent your County's in our Parliament and will take an active role in the running of our Kingdom. Additionally, Nobles will have reserved seats in the Parliament.
About the Kings descendants. Yes, of course, the King's son will have rights to the throne. However, he will play a secondary role in the government. He will maintain control over a fourth of the Grand Army. In short, even after the revolution, a king will be a symbol of power but of course he will be obliged to consult all the nobles in the Parliament before taking any decisions. Also, hath he turn out be like his predecessor, he will be relieved of his duties and an election will be held to select the successor until the next prince comes to a ruling age.

Kravis awoke in a nightmarish world. Darkness everywhere. Nothing but a cage is seen. He stands up and looks around. NOthing. Nothing. Nothing. He Yells.
"Hey! Whats going on!"
Kravis yelled. No one heard him.
"Welcome to my cage, Kravis."
"Where are you?"
"I control the body now."
"How?"
"I do not know. But it feels good to see colour again."
"Could you not see from here. Everything I did?"
"No, I saw the reality in dreams.I was cursed. You will rot there for the rest of your pathetic life."
"Bah!" ____________________________________________________________________________
"Leave me"
Sivark got up and looked around.
"Change of plans boys. We march to the castle. To war!
Fools. Rejoice all you want. You are marching to your deaths. I shall join the kings ranks. Become a count perhaps the vizier. Foolish Kravis does not understand what mistakes he has made.
With this he walks out of the tent.

Outwardly nothing changed in the knights posture, but that was to be understood seeing as Alsdair happened to be a veteran of numerous meetings, more-or-less formal, because inwardly he was smiling like a jackal. So far everything went as planned. Alsdair cleared his throat and said, - 'Very well, I'f I recieve such assurances from other leaders of your movement than I am authorized to act as one of you.'

"Will you be sending messengers to the Counts, Barons and Dukes of Rythanis? And do you not require Count Alfons' approval to go to war?" Aten stroked his chin, trying to give the false impression that he was a cold, calculating monster. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Shandon: "What!? The rebels have sent emmisaries?? Tell Marshal Helbretcht to go ahead with his plans. Consult our commanders and send any inactive troops have. I will be sending a small force to the Lithanian post so we know what exactly is happening. I am quite certain that they will not stoop low enough to join hands with the rebel scum. Tell the representatives to execute the leaders at once if possible."

This time Alsdair smiled, - 'My lord Aten, I will contact my Count Alfons and inform him of your generosity and he will take care of informing the other lords of the realm.' The smile fadded as the knight stood, - 'And I should start doing that so would you please leave my tent? You may stay in this camp, though I'll have to have you watched, or you can return to your own and I will send word of what my count thinks of the matter. After that,' - A pause during which the knight shrugged, - We shall either fight together or against each other.'
The Kings army Marshal Helbrecht smiled and ordered his men to move out. He could have waited for the reinforcements to arrive, but he decided that they would come later and he wanted to make sure that the enemy would not escape. The infantry marched alongside their war wagons while the horsemen scouted the area ahead,
'Soon we shall begin this war properly.' Helbrecht thought, and smiled at the images going through his head.

Outside the tent.
Lord Xan speaks to Aten : "Listen to me Aten. I have a bad feeling about this whole situation. I feel the need to go back to the base camp and checkup on Kravis. While i need you to stay here and watch out for any attacks planned on this camp for news spreads fast. Also if there is no attack and i have not returned for more than a few days then that means the Bloodshed has begun. Which means you head to the camp with or without Alsdair and his men. May the Gods be with you, Aten"
With that he took off towards the base camp as fast as he could.

Xan's figure was dimming in the distance when Aten turned away. He noticed a few men on horses arrive at the camp. They bore red flags and wore rather expensive clothing. Clearly, these men were affiliated to the King of Shandon. They stormed inside Alsdair's tent.
"Where are they?" one of them asks. "Have you disposed of them?"

((How is this? Gimme some criticsm))
Sivark signals a few times and the Gryphon bows down. Sivark mounted the Gryphon and yelled.
"Children of democracy. Sons of Freedom. Fathers of Liberty. Fight strong and fight hard. Fight for the many men and women who are under the Kings pressure.A few hours from now we shall have killed the tyrant of Rythanis. Your sons and daughters will live peacefully. If death be our end , so be it! If a hundred soldiers mean the death of the king. I will kill a hundred soldiers. If a hundred heros means the birth of democracy . I WILL SACRAFICE A HUNDRED HEROS!! Remember , each and every one of you holds a strenght which is ranked even above me! Unleash it. As usual , we are severly outnumbered. Xan and Aten have abandoned us. They believe in monarchy and tyranny. We are true citezins. We only not stand alon , we stand strong! To WAR! To DEATH! To ETERNAL DEMOCRACY!!"
Sivark rides his Gryphon but not leaving the ground. The clatter of shields and armour echos the night sky.The soldiers had a morale boost. Yet, many were sad. They believed Lord Xan and Humble Aten had left them for riches and high positions to fight in the army. None knew they were seeking more help. Their long absense had sadden many.As for Kravis. He was lost in thought. Nothing made it possible for him to be freed and fight the rightous battle.
But the battle had to start. The Troops left the camp . The Infantry left first followed by the ouliphaunt and the balista. The archers lead as the cavalry followed. With thirty minutes the camp was left empty. Their was a wide smile in Sivark's face.
Fools! Nobles demand much. Aten haggles much. It is obvious that they were delayed Capitalist economies are a myth. Monarchy is the way to progress. Many shall remember the day when Sivark assasinates the king as inherits his throne.

((Woah, cool. Good job man.)) War drums scream out into the night as the rebel army marches. Coupled with the roars of the soldiers and the bellowing of the oiliphaunt, they form a rather terrifying sight. 10 elven archers have also joined the ranks. This was all the elven camp was willing to spare. Upon sighting the King's army in the distance, the horsemen raise the flag of the republic: The men await Kravis' command to halt. He seemed to be in great spirits for somebody who was in a comma for 5 hours. He was far more vicious and bloodthirsty than before. Total forces = 30 Swordsmen, 15 longbowmen, 30 riders, 1 ballista, 1 oiliphaunt They were severely ounumbered. Without re-inforcements, the rebels would be crushed. ((inthedark, could you give estimates to how big the enemy is?))

The Kings horsemen advance and halt at a kilometer from the rebels. Lacking an oliphant they still look impressive, covered in steel plates and mail, pennants waving proudly in the wind, many faces were concealed under the steel masks of helmets, either the menacing blankness of helms, or the crow/hound-like face-plates. Behind them the war-wagons are already forming up, from behind the wooden "walls" one can see the glint of metal as crossbowmen take their positions, cannons are dragged of their transports and dragged into position under the watchful eye of engineers. Above all this flurry the banners of the Lord Marshal and of the kingdom. The Marshal himself can be seen, characteristic in his black armor and dark red surcoat. Though they appear to be well over a hundred in numbers they do not move, they are still in the confusion as they try to establish their lines amidst the pine woods...
Alsdairs Camp: Alsdair stood, anger evident on his face, - 'YOU DARE BARGE INTO A NOBLEMANS TENT LIKE THIS!?' This shouted out the knight calmed down and raised his hand to halt the guards that had already entered the tent, weapons drawn (A few sorounded Aten in case he was the cause but their decurion soon told them too settle down, though they still observed him). - 'I expect that next time you will remember of the appropriate ceremonies involved when bringing a message to a noble man, no matter who he might be. Furthermore unless they are followers of the dark gods or some other foulness an ambassador is not to be harmed, he is still waiting while I conjure a diplomatic reply to his proposition.' Alsdair hoped that this, along with the presence of his guards would be enough to ensure some good behaviour from these new guests.

Lord Xan had finally reached the Rebel Army. After reaching camp and seeing it abandoned, he knew Kravis must have taken them for battle. He quickly wrote a note to Aten. Where is that eagle now then. I shall wait for it. The View of battle was a very funny one. a small disorganised rebel army against a very well organised and far larger kingdom army. What do you expect when an army is led by a mage? Nonetheless. He moved forward. He had no horse. The men parted after seeing him. They where filled with a new hope. Their heroes had not abondoned them.
Lord Xan greeted Kravis. He spoke : " You should have waited we were getting re-inforcements. Why didn't you try your mage brothers from the academy for help. Anyhow."
He turns to the men and screams : " As you may have noticed we are, as Aten has said, Severely outnumbered as usual. Now here is the plan men. We have to be able to hold these men off long enough for Aten and hopefully Alsdair and his men to come. Thirty Riders including myself will lead the Army into battle. First we will start with a reign of arrows and ballista firing, i also hope for Kravis to fire his thunderbolts at them. After this we will charge into battle with the Oiliphaunt and the Horsemen. We will be followed by the Swordsmen and then finally the archers. Archers do not stop firing. They too have archers. We will use a certain trick to overcome that. When they fire you will all hide under your shields. You will put them over you and stick close so as to form a huge shield. I will expect kravis to be deflecting a few arrows as well. The Archers will only come to a certain distance and fire from there.
Well i believe it is time. Men? What do we have that they dont? Lots of things. We have an Oiliphaunt. We have Elven archers. We have a cause, we have courage. We do not fear the consequences. We are fighting for our lives. WE ARE FIGHTING A BATTLE AGAINST TYRANNY FOR GOD'S SAKES!! WE WILL WIN!! TOGETHER WE WILL FORM A NEW KINGDOM!! KARNAROCK MY MEN KARNAROCK!!!" He Screams.
The whole army starts screaming and chanting KARNAROCK. The battle is about to begin.

The Battle The Kings army forms a stark contrast to the rebels, the only voices heard are those of their officers shouting orders, and of the wagons being locked together to form a fortress. At a signal from the Marshal the horsemen, about twenty in number, fall back inside the field fortifications made by by the wagons. 160 crossbowmen crank their metal weapons back and load bolts, weapons infamous for their slow rate of fire, long range of a thousand meters and the strength to punch through every armor at three hundred. Behind them set up 40 pole-arm wielding infantry men, ready to stop any attempts to break apart the wall from wagons, or to rush out in a counter assualt. It is neither the cavalry nor infantry, however, that atarts the fighting, it's the artillary. Two cannons, spouching huge amounts of smoke, hurl two balls of stone at the rebels. Not a very lethal weapon but it can still crush bones or rip off limbs despite armor...
OOC: Just a note, I made the numbers with Aten so don't think I'm making it this tough on purpose. Oh, and Aten, could you decide what damage both armies inflict on eachother?

Surprisingly, the artillery fire has little effect on the spread out rebel army. 5 men are killed by the massive metal ball. Through some deft manouvering, the rest are able to dodge the cannon.
A swarm of eagles appears from behind the rebel army at breakneck speeds. Within minutes, they cross the distance between the two forces. The men look up into the sky in wonder, They are the first to attack. One-by-one, they drop from the sky, using their razor sharp talons on the Crossbowmen. However, only half of those that come down rise up again. 15 of the Crossbowmen are killed. Many of them are confused and terrified. They are unable to use their Crossbows. Unaccostumed to this sort of warfare, the ranks begin to break. However, much of the army, including the seige weaponry, is in excellent shape.
Would this be a good time to charge?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Alsdair's Camp
"A diplomatic response?" says the man, snidely. His tone was definitely calmer. "Are you going to fight with the traitors?"
