Crusaders and the crusane (#completed)

The man broke into a mad run when Aten figured out who he was. Aten was fast, but the man was faster.

He called out to eagles that soared above him. Each of them swooped down upon the criminal, missing him by inches.

It was an hour before Aten finally lost him. He would need help to take the criminal down.

The man was none other than Jack De Blacke, a deadly assasin responsible for the death of many ministers and high dignitaries. There was no way any force in Rythanis could catch him if he managed to escape in one of the trade ships here.

Aten headed to towards the bar to the south.

in the bar sitting is ishtar quietly sipping onto his mug o' wine. he looks up as aten enters breathlessly, alerts himself and clutches his staff. On realising who it is , heplaces it back in the corner. "oh yeah!"

"Jack de blacke.... I saw him."

He looks at Ishtar and somehow forces himself to say: "I need...."

"Help"

Aten sits down realising that it was going to be a while be fore he saw Jack again.

"Be on patrol today. He will definitely try to get onto one of the ships."

With this, he left the bar.

"sure" replies ishtar , fiinishhes his drink. tips the bar tender and slowly leaves the bar too.

Night:
IShtar sees a lurking shadowy figure, he Swiftly pursues it. "Heh, will you look at that.. it is our old friend jack, I guess the animal tamer (Aten) was right"-Ishtar thinks to himself.
He watches jack mount the ship 'Le Crusane', he covers his face and boards the ship and spotting aten indicates him 2 board the ship too.
"oh boy this is gonna be another long night, wonder what jack's up to now"- ishtar sighs and settles down in the cargo hold.

Aten creeps abroad the ship behind Ishtar. He sees Jack walk through a door to his left. He is still oblivious of their presence. Aten motions to Isthar, telling him to follow Jack.

A large black flag lying on a crate suddenly catches his eye. He walks up to it, looking at it with horror.

This was a pirate ship disguised as a trade ship! Jack was probably hitching a ride along with them. There was no telling what a fully armed pirate ship could do to the unarmed trade ships leaving the dock.

He had to stop the ship from leaving Guenne Fosse.

He whispers to Ishtar - "Somehow capture jack and get off this ship. It should be infested with pirate scum."

He pauses.

"I'll keep my Eagles on watch. I'll must go and get re-inforcements"."

[dgurushesh]

Ishtar looks up sarcastically- "what are your reinforcements? a pack of mules?. Anyway I'll take care of jack, you owe me 2 now, meet you later...."

A while later -

Aten storms into the office of the local guard chief. He was present even at this late hour, working on some official documents or the other.

"All of your best men. NOW. Theres a pirate ship right under your nose. I cant belive you didnt find out. You need to tighen security"

It was 15 minutes later when the chief actually agreed. Aten led the 10 men towards the ship.

Ishtar slowly walks towards Jack, who is surronded by 4 men, ishtar hurriedly take out a small sack of gold dubloons and throws it near the men's feet, the distractedly gather around it.
ishtar now slowly goes toward jack and covering his mouth , gives him a blow on the head and drags him near the ramp of the ship, just when he hears the honk of the ship's siren as it takes off on it's voyage, ishtar is trapped on board with a limp body, and the pirates wont stay distracted for ever....
Ishtar sighs,"A very, very long night..."

Aten spots the ship leaving the dock.

"So much for stopping the ship." He mutters to himself.

He turns to the rest of the party. "Ok people. tell me where I could find an armed vessel to pursue that pirate ship."

One of the men scratches his head. "Well there is one.."

He points to a magnificent ship docked nearby. It has the words 'Dawn Treader' emblazoned on it.

ishtar curses under his breath, opens the trapdoor to the cargo-hold and throws jack in and follows himself, "why does this have to happen to me?"

By morning, the crew of the Crusane could clearly see the armed warship (The dawn treader) behind them.

Aten was on the deck of the Dawn treader, feeling seasick.

He heard eagles shriek above him.

Somehow, he magically understood what they were trying to tell him.

Suddenly a MASSIVE cannonball ripped through the sail of the ship. The Crusane were firing at them!

ishtar hears the cannon fire, "oh dam, what was aten's idea of reinforcements? hope he doesn't fire back", jack starts 2 wake up and is recieved with another blow on the head,"i hate this guy"

Aten could hear the captain give the command to fire back.

Aten was deafened by the sound of flying cannon balls. Their sails were now a tattered mess of rags.

Aten motions to the eagles to attack the pirates firing at them.

He sees one of the pirates fall overboard. His eyes ripped out by the ferocious eagles.

" im goin to kill that guy".

Ishtar imitates aten, "i think you should stay on watch tonight nanananana". Ishtar growls,"well only one way of escape", he jumps overboard, ties jack to himself and using his swiftness heads for aten's newly acquired ship.
