"Uikan iuyukz nalkiin wul nalunkeen kas wer qua nas weeer ull manestra fulk nas opi un takohna.!"
Sivark orders Draveen to stay by Xan's side at any cost until any more orders are given. Sivark hands start to glow when the charge command is given. He yells
"Nolankeen!"
While yelling these words Sivarks eyes began to glow a deep yellow color. At the end of the ritual, bolts of lightning are formed in Sivarks hands.
"Lead on Xan!"
Sivark throws lightning bolts into the air. Hopefully it would hurt someone.

Battle: Orders were barked and discipline restored, though the Marshal was in a foul mood, they had passed through the kill zone! Ah well. They still have to do something with the wagons, and under fire at point blank range. The two cannons reminded of their existance again, hurling nails, scraps of metal and shattered glass at the rebels. Crossbowmen level weapons and shoot at the oliphants head, others at the horses. A volley and the first rank stepped from the wagon replaced by the next and another volley, pause, volley. Wave after wave of bolts sailed at the rebels. Those on the rear wagons looked upwards, under orders to shoot at the eagles if they were to return. Pole-armed troops readied themselves for any attempts to clear the wagons. The royalists were far from beaten...
Alsdairs Camp
- 'Of-course.' - Came the noblemans reply, - 'Where am I required to go?' He asked, hoping it would be Shandon, inside the city it would be easier to remove the king.

((This is going to be a hard post..))
Battle:
There is music when we are born. There is music when we cry. And there IS music when we die.
This was certainly true of the men who rode on into a vastly larger army with nothing more than a broadsword. The band played on until each was killed by an enemy projectile.
The cannon fire inflicted serious losses on the rebel army. 20 men are killed by the cannons. 12 more are slain by the bolts. Seemingly small losses to the foolish eye. For some reason, morale did not fall among the rebels. They still had a few tricks up their sleeves.
The unpredictable Oiliphaunt broke into a mad charge. The barrage of bolts had aggravated it, but it was going to take a great deal of damage before going down. The rebel formation quickly parted to give way to the massive animal. It crashes into one of the war wagons, killing several Pole-armed men. It picks up one of the crossbowmen and flings him away. Many more are simply crushed under its feet or impaled on its mighty tusks. A sheath of mithril-iron alloy covers its entire body.
Enhanced arrows, height and a little bit of elven magic is a powerful combination. Arrows rain down from the Oiliphaunts back killing the far less adept crossbowmen and pikemen.
The bolts have very little success at shooting down the eagles. They swoop down on the cannons, killing the men who are manning them.
As a sign of defiance, a massive arrow flies into another war-wagon killing a fair amount of unprepared men. The Ballista fires another shot, trying to spread as much confusion as possible. -----------------------------------------------------
The Camp:
Aten had walked out of the tent only a little earlier when an eagle delivered a note to him:
The War has begun on the Plains.
He knew it was Xan. Only he could write such vague letters. He walks back into the tent to face Alsdair..
".. am I required to go?'
Aten interrupted and spoke in an uncharacteristic, humble tone:
"My Lord, Alsdair, the war has begun. YOU will have to decide, NOW. The Rebels... or the King?"

Battle: Orders were issued. Crossbowmen redirected their fire, aiming for the men on the oliphant, espescialy the man controlling it. Some decurions led their men under the beast, risking death, to get a shot at the softer parts of it's under-belly. Pole-armed men began stabbing and hacking at it's legs in an almost comic attempt to bring it down. The cannons were silent their crewmen dead, or hiding, waiting for a chance to re-man them. The Marshal turned to his signal man and barked out an order. The clear calling of a trumpet sounded over the din of battle and the marshal slammed his visor shut, drew his sword and led his horsemen out against the Remainders of the rebels outside the camp. Infantry grabbed pavises and made ready to plug the hole with the large shields as soon as the horsemen had passed. From the woods the remainders of the marshals men rode out. 10 riding towards the camp, ready to aid the marhsal in his charge, 20 moved towards the ballista, spread out to avoid fire, ready to silence the crew...
Camp: Alsdair looked up in anger as somebody barged into his tent, again! - '"My Lord, Alsdair, the war has begun. YOU will have to decide, NOW. The Rebels... or the King?"' The anger passed into surprise when he realized that the man that had spoken so elegantly and was currently being blocked by a guard was Aten. 'Feth! He even called me "Lord"!' The surprise fadded to alarm when he realized that the kings messengers were still inside his tent! - 'Excuse me, my lords.' He managed a smile as he moved to Aten and pushed him outside, telling the guard to watch the kings messengers. - 'What are you doing!?' - he hissed, - 'I'm trying to get into Shandon with-out a siege!' Calming down slightly he asked, - 'And what do you mean by "The war has started"? Has the king moved?'

The Camp:
"Yes, the Marshall has attacked the camp. The Rebel army is only 75 men. It dosent stand a chance. We have to act.. and quickly."
Silence follows as Aten waits for a reply.

Lord Xan screams: " Where the hell are those d**n re-inforcements, ARGH!" He dug his sword into a pikeman while smashing the skull of another with his Warhammer.
This was not good, the rebels were definately losing. Maybe if he could kill the marshal. He gave the signal all at once the archers fired at the men moving in on the ballista. The ballista also fired. Horse men reared they're horses and charged into the archers.
Lord Xan screamed upto the archers. " Next shot, all of you aim for the Marshall. We must kill him! It is our only hope. Kravis bring on the lightning now!"
With that he moved onto the Marshall and his men with five swordsmen. He screamed to the Archers : " Fire at him NOW!"
A volley of numerous shots, Lord Xan charged at the Marshall with his swordsmen.

Sivark opened a portal in front of a the marshall. The projectiles were deflected gone with the portals. He pulled on the feathers of the gryphon and directed it to fly next to the marshall.
"Fear not. I fight beside you now."
Sivark yelled and hit Xan with the back side of his sword.

Lord Xan screams : " I should have know it wasnt Kravis. You are a mage and i am knight, this was a foolish move."
Everything was blurry yet Lord Xan was an experienced fighter. He takes his Warhammer and stabs kravis in the stomache with the wooden handle as soon as he goes down, Xan smacks him in the face with the handle of his katana making a small cut on his face and hopefully knocking him out.
He turns to the archers again and Screams: " FIRE AT HIM AGAIN!!"
He tries to stumble forward but falls the soldiers move to pick him to his feet but he pushes them off and gets up himself. The world was a blurry has that kept moving it was too hard to focus. WHERE IS ATEN?!

Battle The Royal cavalry was indeed far superior to that of the Rebel Army. However, the archers atop the Oiliphaunt quickly take of the the horsemen who attempted to kill the men at the ballista. Even more of the infantry is killed as the Oiliphaunt rips through the war wagons. Mitzu is fatally injured. Without him, the animal might decide to run amok.
Total forces = 18 Swordsmen, 13 longbowmen, 10 riders, 1 ballista, 1 oiliphaunt
Sivark = 78% Xan = 82% Marshall = 61%
The Marshall manages to dodge the ballista fire. However, 6 pole armed troopers are killed. He is delivered a fatal blow by a swordsman. However, the valiant soldier was decapitated only minutes later.
The Crossbowmen also take manage to make a few kills, however, with all the confusion and chaos around them, they are unable to do anything substantial.
Royalists = 95 Crossbowmen, 15 horsemen, 24 Pole Armed men.

The Camp: - 'Than there is nothing else to do here. Aten, I want you to stay with me, I need you to show me the way.' Alsdair sighed as he turned around, - 'FAUST! Get the men saddled up! Leave the Shrivians to watch the camp aids while they pack and to escort them on the road! We have to ride swiftly!' The knights strides to his tent and lifting the flap addresses the kings representitives, - 'Lord Marshal Helbrecht has neglected to wait for me and started the war by himself, I must ride there at once, though I will ensure an escort for you.' He let the tent flap slid back in place before he mouthed a curse, lying like this tasted foul in his mouth, but how else could he maintain the enemy unaware of his intentions? Alsdair called for Faust again and instructed him to ride an escort with an additonal order, - 'Make sure none of them make it there alive.' He thought he had played convincingly enough but who knows what those men were really thinking? In an hour his group split into three: The Shrivian Watch escorting the wagons. The 20 man group "escorting" the kings representitives. The main force of 80 men, riding quickly to the battle field, trying to reach it before too long, yet with the horses having enough strength to fight.
The Battle: Marshal Helbrecht swore as he slid in his saddle, gods did that wound hurt! He lifted his visor to spit out the blood forming in his mouth and looked around. The oliphant was still amidst the war-wagons, he hoped that the continues fire from the crossbowmen would either take it down, or make it run off. The appearence of the mage was a pleasent surprise, though Helbrecht did not trust him, yet. Perhaps if he did something with the Oliphant? The cavalry, despite their casualties, still struck home, their lances slamming into their opponents before they drew their weapons for close quarters. The Halbadiers and pikemen rushed out to support them. Shouting obscenities a horsemen charged the marshal, who deftly deflected the blow and nearly slashed the man in half with the counter blow. Slamming the visor down Helbrecht spurred his horse and charged into the thick of the fighting.

"Marshall run. Let me cover your back!"
Before the marshall could agree Sivark mounted Draveen and started closely following the marshall.
Before long 'Kravis' opened a Kinetic portal and tossed his sword into one. THe other he threw a lightning bolt.He used another to get closer to him and stab him

Lord Xan saw the fatal wound the Oiliphaunt rider had gained. This slaughter would end soon he had to keep it going the only way would to do that would be to kill the Marshall. He Charges towards the Marshall. He goes directely infront of his horse. He quickly dodges to the right and stabs his sword into the horse's stomache. He keeps the sword held tight as it moves down its body cut and slicing its organs, the horse comes down crashing. The Marshall is thrown off. Lord Xan runs towards him Screaming profanities. He is readying for the kill.

((I am sorry for the delay in posting. d**n school. )) 80 men rode out from the camp, hoping that by the time they reached, the rebel army would still be fighting. ((The men will reach the site of the war in inthedark's next post)) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Sivark = 78% Xan = 76% Marshall = 36% The Marshall's leg bone is shattered as the beast falls to the ground. His fighting ability is greatly reduced. The Oiliphaunt finally shows signs of weariness. The Crossbowmen are able to take down three of the longbowmen atop the beast. The Royalist cavalry clashes with the Rebel cavalry. Most of the duels end in victories for the king's horsemen. The rebel army has now been reduced to a small band of renegade soldiers. The ballista launches another arrow, slaying more of the infantry. However, the men manning the ballista are killed by a lone horseman. The seige weapon is undamaged. Total forces = 14 Swordsmen, 10 longbowmen, 4 riders, 1 ballista, 1 oiliphaunt Royalists = 84 Crossbowmen, 11 horsemen, 19 Pole Armed men.

As if trying to make a statement the crossbowmen continued shooting at the oliphant and it's passengers. Even as the Marshal fell infantry lept to his aid, some trying to drag the wounded man from under his horse, others made jabbing motions at Xan, trying to find an opening to sink their long weapons into, while keeping the man at a distance. The Horseman seem not to notice their leaders fall and continued to hack at the rebels around them.
*
The moment Alsdair and his force rode up the man had to resist the urge to charge. Instead he split his force into three units. 30 men under his command bearing the banner of Feich (A black bird on silver with the Five Red crosses of Mere-Wod on it's chest), 30 under the command of his chaplain with the Lithanian banner (A black Boar on red) and twenty under the command of a man-at arms (no banner). The 20 men were to wait and either strengthen the main forces, or to ensure that nobody escaped if the battle was won with that charge alone. Alsdair turned to his chaplain, - Od-volf, Take the Count's banner and strike where you see the marshals flag, send the followers of the de-thronized king to make their excuses before the gods.' Alsdair than turned to Aten, - 'Aten, you can accompany which-ever unit you want.' Which left him to attack the war-wagons, undoubtedly manned by crossbowmen, and with an Oliphant on the rampage, but a commander was to fight where it was dangerous, wasn't he? Visors were slammed shut, lances picked up, prayers uttered and spurring their mounts, the knight and 60 of his men intoned a war song as they rode towards their targets, lances leveled.
